Pressing & Care Instructions

Actual heat press is needed for all transfers. Household iron or Easypress will not work for most transfers.

Sublimation Pressing and Care Instructions: Recommended to press at 375 degrees F for 70 seconds at medium pressure. Temp and time may need to be adjusted according to material being sublimated on. Use butcher paper between the transfer and your heat press to prevent ink transfer. Transfer may need to be taped to substrate to prevent it from moving or causing ghosting while pressing.

Wash on cool, inside out, no fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry on low (air dry is best), no dryer sheets, inside out. Do not over dry.

The colors on the listing may differ from the colors on the transfer. Transfers will look dull and color may seem off until pressed. There may also be slight variations in the color on your screen and the actual image after pressed. Pressing temps, time and substrates will also affect the outcome of the color and the image. Sublimation does not use any white ink, therefore any white in the image will be the color of the item being pressed.

Recommended to be used on sublimation coated items and material that is atleast 50% polyester, 100% polyester is best. Lower polyester counts may result in a faded image upon pressing or fading when material is washed. White or very light colored material is highly recommended. Sublimation will not appear on dark materials.

DTF Pressing and Care Instructions: DTF transfers are hot peel transfers. Press at 300-350 degrees F for 20-25 seconds. Use less heat & time for high polyester materials, use more heat & time for high cotton materials. Press with firm pressure. After 1st press, let transfer sit for 10-30 seconds, however you do not need to let transfer and material completely cool before peeling. If transfer is hard to peel, you can press again for another 5-10 seconds and attempt peeling again. Once peeled, cover with teflon sheet and press again for 10-15 seconds at previous temperature to press transfer into the material fibers.  A T-seal sheet or a clean, blank cotton t shirt may also be used in place of the the teflon sheet to further press the transfer into the fibers on the shirt.

Do not wash for 24-48 hours after pressing. Wash & dry inside out. Wash on cool, no fabric softener, do not bleach. Tumble dry on low (air dry is best), no dryer sheets. Do not over dry.

Because our curing process is manual, the film may be slightly wavy before pressing. This is completely normal and does not affect the transfer.

There may be slight variations in the color on your screen and the actual image after pressed. Pressing temps, time and substrates will also affect the outcome of the color and the image. DTF can be applied to any blend of material on any color (dark or light.) Transfer will feel similar to vinyl after pressed but will soften over time after washing. Solid transfers will have more of a hand, while transfers with more negative space will have less of a hand. With proper care, transfer should last 25-50 washes.

For Glitter DTF - follow above steps for pressing temps and time, except you must let the transfer completely cool before peeling and doing 2nd press. If glitter is on the material after pressing (in areas where there is no ink), simply use a lint roller to remove excess glitter after pressing.
